Where You Should Be
Located between Pune & Mumbai, Atmatrupti in Uddhar, is an Eco-farm and open community centre for recreation. Atma means Self and Trupti meaning Content, aims at promoting Eco-Tourism. Open surroundings, Organic farming, Permaculture, fresh home made food and occasional workshops is what we render. People from all over can come, get indulged in the activities, thereby discover their own peace and joy.
What We’re All About
Tushar Kelkar, the founder is an Eco architect and native of Uddhar village. After studying Eco-Architecture in Rajasthan, he came back to his village to fulfill his dream of building an Eco-farm. This is how Atmatrupti came into existence in 2014.

Its a 2.5 ha of land, of which 0.30 has been used for producing crops; rice, vegetables, fruits & flowers.
​
Here we conduct Eco-tourism projects, which brings in people from all over the country and even internationals to volunteer for developing the land. Till now around 50 volunteers from 15 countries have worked and contributed in our missions with passion.

You are invited here to get intimate with Nature, experience the village life and get immersed in the serenity.

Built a roof top for kitchen and dining area.
We have built a roof top using Bamboo, its a traditional method that we have adapted. Everything at the center is built using local materials such as bamboo, stone, mud, hey grass and other materials which nature offers. Two major buildings have been constructed with this principle; one being a traditional Adiwasi hut and another one, a Geo Dome - for community gatherings and accommodating volunteers and tourists.
Vegetables, Cereals and Fruits have been planted.
We have grown Capsicum, Tomato, Cauliflower, carrots, watermelons, green peas (rare in farming), cereals like Moong, black eyed beans, Chana and many more crops to be planted in future.

Our Vision
To create a parallel rural world of Leisure..

In the near future, Atmatrupti will function as an Eco farm growing organic fruits and vegetables which will be sold in local markets, potentially the markets of two neighboring cities, Pune and Mumbai.
​
It will serve as a community space for the Uddhar village which will provide locals a platform for discussions, educational, cultural, social and recreational activities. It will also be one great scope for Eco tourism where visitors can relax, learn and get engaged with nature. Ultimately, the project will generate multiple employment opportunities for local villagers and tribal people.
​
Most important, it will provide people the much needed leisure and peace, which we tend to lose in the city life. Away from the noises of the ever alive cities, we have created a different world, which will remind us all of our ROOTS. This project is a dream; me and my wife wish to accomplish.
